LOTL Media - Queer Conversation
LOTL Media is the evolution of 35 years of lesbian publishing into a modern platform for women who shape the world.
Through our flagship series Queer Conversation, we speak with bold thinkers, community builders, survivors, creators, and system‑changers, women whose lives and work move culture forward.
Our lens is queer, our focus is impact.
We highlight women who live authentically, challenge norms, and contribute to social, political, and cultural change.
New conversations regularly.

National Treasures & 35 Years of Lesbian Representation — The Exhibition: Lesbians On The Loose

The Exhibition: Lesbians On The Loose traces a visual and editorial timeline of lesbian representation through the long‑running, lesbian‑owned publication Lesbians on the Loose — now known as LOTL. This exhibition highlights decades of community reporting, activism, and storytelling that shaped lesbian visibility in Australia.
Featured are interviews with Sylvia Kinder, Gail Hewison, Robyn Plaister, and Robyn Kennedy, originally published in LOTL’s 2018 Winter edition as National Treasures — portraits of senior women from our community. Their stories are accompanied by portraits from photographer Richard Hedger, whose work documents influential lesbian and queer women over 65.
